I'm being funny about being "nazi" as so many people think I am.

I don't give a rats arse about this stuff really (except if people are being arses, then I do, but anyway I'm getting away from the point), all I'm doing is pointing something out, like oooh! a bird outside the window! or lovely shading! on a picture.

Just stating facts. not meaning owt otherwise.

# 54k
The limit is pretty constrictive, which is why I do my animations at half size and then double them up in the html.
i.e. a 140 wide anim contains width="280" in the upload codez. You can get shed loads more in that way, 256 colours, longer run times, etc.

all my mentioning of file sizes is not because I want to rule this land with a steel fist

it's because I have a bizarre knowledge of resizing and optimisation techniques and there's simply no excuse for stuff to be bigger than the FAQ says!

# 4k over the unnacceptable point then
so not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 k over unnaceptable.
Thats just rubbing Rob and co's faces in it ;)
In a genuinesly pedantic world the mods would be well in their rights to take that anim down then. Surely the 50k between 200 and 250 is the leeway section?

I'm not trying to be right just questioning whats written. It's like a speed limit, 60 is 60, you can go all the way up to 60 if you like, but people will smack you down if you go over (in theory).
All my comments (when I can be arsed) are usually a tip to keep it under so that no one has a go. The weird thing is all this crap of being called a nazi has turned it around in to make out like I'm having a go when I'm being friendly.
Whereas people who just shout c*** are fine! what a weird world, but ho hum, what you gonna do.
(, Mon 11 Dec 2006, 15:29, archived)
# So from my calculations, that animation is 1.57% unacceptable
by the way...

I know it's not the same as calling someone a "cunt", but it's not *that* helpful... ;)
