# Well, the Zoo Weekly Wiki article is locked

Edit: 'ning you! *hugs*
Edit2: I'm hungry, what should I eat?

# got the b3ta link on there tho
:)
edit for your 2nd edit : I had a kebab - Meat on a stick, can't go wrong!
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:27, archived)
# what a foolish mistake by whatever wiki admin did that!
;-)
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:30, archived)
# Hahah, my thoughts too
Though I wish people had stuck to subtle and we maybe could have snuck in a factual (and therefore harder to object to) reference to Zoo acknowledging that most of their images come from B3ta.com, you know, in the main text
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:30, archived)
# It's been put back to normal now, I've just got it again
all the B3ta stuff has been taken off thankfully
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:28, archived)
# apart from this bit...
98% of Zoo's images are stolen from this website - which links to b3ta
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:29, archived)
# yes, and it doesn't really help anyone on B3ta who has issue with them by changing a wiki page
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:31, archived)
# the truth hurts
edit : it should say "oringate from this website" oh well
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:33, archived)
# not to EMAP,
all they have to do is pull the page out of their mag and nobody on b3ta affected has any claim to any credit due.
this whole thing has been going on in the background between b3ta/emap for months, it seems strange
in the past 2 weeks it's suddenly become a 'hot topic' where everyone wants to debunk emap
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:36, archived)
# yea i've noticed its been goin on for months also...
Have i understood correctly that they are giving credit to b3ta Peeps now? or am I really confused?
What about the latest HappyToast (with tags) in this weeks issue?
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:39, archived)
# the definition of 'credit' is still widely open to interpretation and negotiation
my own interpretation is that they find an image they like, print it, say its from b3ta, and then ask you to contact them over the image to gain a credit, which won;t be much I can assure you
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:40, archived)
# no, it's not credited
all they have is a disclaimer in the gutter of the page saying something like all images are from B3ta.com unless otherwise stated.
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:40, archived)
# and believe me, it took long enough to get that...
Except where specified, all pics from B3ta.com. If you're the person who took any of the spam pics, let us know. We'd love to give you a credit
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:42, archived)
# by credit - i mean prizes / mentioning names etc?
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:43, archived)
# yes, and no they aren't
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:47, archived)
# anyone up for a bit of guy fawkery?
*goes to find some matches*
edit : I just remembered i have a wiki account, have changed the words "stolen" to "originate" - what is your prefered wording?
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:49, archived)
# I don't get it
all Emap need to do is post our usernames along with the pics and everything's fine and dandy right?

Then if they want to send us a prize for our work then that's even better.
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:40, archived)
# thats what i was thinking
(, Tue 27 Feb 2007, 20:43, archived)
# it involves a LONG backstory for previous use of images and tagging,
which they need to fully explain to some of us before that can happen, its all a bit 'gridlocked' at present.

If you want, add me to msn sometime and I'll keep you abreast of what is/could be happening
