# Fun with camera effects


This is actually just a crappy excuse to ask for HELP!!
Is anyone here proficient enough in Flash to tell me why the fuck
sounds won't play in the Timeline when I drag the playhead over them?
I used to use Flash MX and it worked perfectly, then I upgraded to Flash
8 and it doesn't fucking do it anymore. I've got some really delicate
sync work to do and I need this function to work. Anyone got any
suggestions?

The sound plays fine when I hit Return (it plays in the Timeline), or when I test the movie ie when it's exported. But I need it to play the sound when I drag the playhead manually - in MX it does this and plays the sounds in slow motion allowing you to pick out individual words etc. It's brilliant. But I can't get Flash 8 to do it.

I love your Tigger though, it's quite wonderfully terrifying:D

I'll check that out. I've been searching for answers online for hours, b3ta was more or less my last resort.

What's such a pain in the ass is that it's meant to be a basic function - like showing tweens when you drag the playhead. So the fact it ain't working suggests my version of Flash is fucked or something.
