# Need to learn to photoshop
I've been lurking on this site for far too long. Does anyone have a decent photoshop tutorial they can reccomend I look at? The *ahem* entirely legal copy of photoshop I have just acquired is version 4.

I love this site, and have some ideas which look great in my head. I just need some help.

That or a life. either way is good.

# woo
downloading a 179 mb realudio file which says its 3jrs long.
1MB/minute the sound quality must be pretty good.

# check it - Over The Edge (Negativland)
(, Sun 26 Jan 2003, 22:51, archived)
# I would check it
But the bastard uni proxy cache firewall doesn't let real media through in any way shape or form.

# i've worked out it's so big because they've stuffed a load of different streams together into 1 file
i'm still only getting 32 kb/s.
Bah.

Big WOO to m3tatween 2!
Tempenc'ed it to VCD and put some silent-movie-slapstick-type music on, and it's great on the telly!

# quite wise
in my humbug opinion. Real Media is a bit poo. And it cost me a support job at the BBC - one of the questions in the test was "What streaming media does the BBC site use?" And I thought "Nah, they wouldn't use something as utterly shite as Real...", but they do.

Cnuts.

# It seems
a bit weird but the Beeb's realaudio content gives me better results than their wmv stuff.
Why they can't use streamed mp3 is beyond me.
(, Sun 26 Jan 2003, 23:05, archived)
# It's probably beyond
the chap who might possibly have received a nice healthy bonus for deciding upon that format for the beeb website.
