I use a trackball which is probably harder to controlBut I like not having to have room on my desk to be able to move a mouse

Cheap ones are thebest. Mine was about £20 from Maplin (was a special deal though, usual price is probably £30-40) and it's lasted for about 2 years so far.
It has had tea spilled on it at least 7 times in that period.

i find the tea rings on mine a great help for drawing perfect circlesand i've got enough tobacco in the pen groove for an emergency fag.
