On another note, it's very interesting how when anybody posts anything allegedly NSFW or over an acceptable filesize how suddenly everybody emerges to make a comment. Myself included, it would appear.

than comment on decent stuff. Too many really good posts by b3tans go uncommented, whilst anything NSFW or over 50k gets flooded with remarks. It just gets depressing to see.

and we thought that may be one of the reasons.

prunes, your good self, beau, manic, eclectech to name but a few. Ok I'm not a 'long standing' member, or particualrly talented like the others with defined 'genres', but its a shame really, cos there's loads of good stuff going to waste, and
going straight to other sites. Still, guess it's just an evolutionary phase of b3ta I guess.
Maybe one day we'll be able to download a 'tolerance' patch for b3ta.

it's easier to knock than to praise, cos everyone is safe in the
knowledge they are behind a computer. Hell, even I used to be a 'nazi'
but really, if someone fucks up, let 'em, I don't need to get involved or say anything these days cos
they'll get twice as many people telling them
'fail' 'fuck off' etc etc than a post which ticks all the boxes and is genuinely nice or indeed fantastic will get.
still, we all come crawling back in the end I guess, even for small visits.

It's much nicer to be nice in the long run, I certainly enjoy B3ta more for it,
just a pity there's not so much encouragement of the decent stuff as there used to be...

I've posted a pile of stuff recently that's gone down really quite well. I've seen you post all sorts of responses on either side of mine - not always full of woos - I guess it boils down to me very obviously appreciating your stuff and you not appearing to return the compliment - not that you have to or anything but I'd prefer a straight "you're shite" to an ignore.

And I'm certainly not going to tell someone they are shit as that is far worse than being too busy to comment.

Due to the aggressive and antagonistic nature of many recent posts, many regulars are posting less and less, to the extent of only posting 2 or 3 replies to peoples comments to their own work and not risking replying to other peoples work at all.

I can see their point, shit like this happens.
