# Is it mandatory for 22 year olds to know the meaning of 'hibernate' now?
Still, young people are remarkably uneducated these days. I blame the teachers. Quite a few of my friends are teachers, and they don't know the stuff they teach.
*sigh*

Just ask your colleague to read Wikipedia when she gets home. Not just the page on hibernation. All of it.

# For example,

# well, the hibernate question is merely indicative of a general lack of knowledge
rather than a specific issue.

it is related to her leaving scholl with no qualification, but i feel that someone would have to be deliberately avoiding the world to be quite this unaware

# or redundant, either works.
is this board made up exclusively of 22 year olds today?

# nope
redundancy and usefulness are different things.
Redundant would imply that the concept is still used, but another word is chosen to express it.

# then surely redundant fits well enough to make no difference.
