# I went through three Sony 8Gb Black mp3 players in six months.
The first one got knocked off the top of my computer (which is on the floor, not a great fall).
The second had a line of dead pixels which drove me mad, so I sent that one back.
The third was actually the second with a new screen and all my music deleted, so THE FUCKING SOFTWARE DIDN'T LET ME FUCKING REPLACE IT!
I gave up in the end, got an extra £25 and got a Creative Zen Vision: M 30Gb for £145 and it's never failed me once.
They've actually come down to £99.99 for christmas (having leapt back up to £216 odd once I'd bought mine :)

# I guess it's a matter of luck, really.
But sonicstage is a pile of shit.

# Damn right about sonicstage!!!!
Who writes a program that corrupts files when you do a system restore, and the restore has nothing to do with that particular program?!?!?!

# The Zune is Microsoft's music player.
The first one was shit and brown.
The new ones are apparently better than iPods, but I haven't seen either recently so I can't judge.

# "Better than iPods"!!!!!!
So not much research and development then.
