# This is well done
but animé pisses me off.

# Azumanga Daioh is the only one I like.

# I know people who hate anime who love Azumanga Daioh.

But it's a bit like marmite.

# A yeast extract spread often used on toast
and other breakfast baked goods? Funny name for it...

# You either love it or you hate it, smartarse :)

# I see. That's clever.
They should use that in their advertising campaign.

It's like being pitch perfect.

# azumanga daioh is pure genius.
FACT.

# Why?
Just curious.

# I agree with him
it mostly just looks the same and it goes on too damn long.

# I think
it's the 'cutesyness' of the kids' stuff. I enjoyed one of them (I think it was called
'Legend of the Overfiend'?) purely because of the absurdity but I avoid them as a general rule.

# Haha, I see.
I could suggest "Beserk" or "High School Rumble"

or "GTO" which I've read. GTO stands for Great Teacher Onizuka.

As far as I remember, the art in those isn't cutesy, and is more akin to comic book style.

# I don't read comic books either.
Except for 'Preacher', which was awesome. Although I hope the TV series does not kill it for me when it comes out.
(, Wed 2 Jan 2008, 23:29, archived)
# Of course it will ruin it.

# I've only seen a few pages of Preacher, but it seems awesome.
The man who gets a hard-on from tanks, and got shagged by a sado-masochistic prostitute amuses me.

I've had comics and japanophileness ingrained into my mind. I've recently realised this while talking with a similar friend.

Got cable reasonably early, watched too much fox kids and my grandparents taught me how to use chopsticks.
