I got that off wikipedia so it may not be true. It could have laz0r eyes that kill you in one go, then it devours your slowly rotting corpse over a few days.

edit: just found the same picture on wikipedia. Huh, they really are silver, that's funny. A reflective coating seems like a bad design for eyes. Particularly considering that it lives in the dark.
Maybe they're only shiny when taken out of the water.
