i've got three thus far
the one on my hip and my spine didn't really hurt that much, the one on my right shoulder bade was a monster though, i will admit to going a little watery eyed.

i don't understand why people get tattoos that other people have
all my tattoos were designed by me and i'm the only one who has or will ever have them.
And they all mean something to me

that's pretty cool
but something off the wall may mean as much to someone as what you've designed for yourself does to you.
also things like the LOTR 9 would be a bit daft if they all got a different tat (and if they went numerically would cause infighting over who'd be number 1)

talking to a tattooist
he had an ex marine in who was a bit of a hard man and was getting an iron man logo tattooed on his calf.
he was in pain but didn't want to admit so he kept quiet, then he passed out and pissed himself
