# i want the poster because i think it is a lullyfull picture...
but i think it would bring up too many...questions...that i'm not ready to deal with.

also, HI, YOU!

# Get the poster.

You want it, get it.
Fuck other people's assinine insinuations.

# yeah...funny thing that...
i've been living with my parents...going to school again and whatnot...
i don't get more than 5 hours a week at work right now... which = no monies
so i kinda need to stay on their good side...haven't come out to my family yet.

but someday it will be mine...

# oh well, in your own time.

I had aggravatingly liberal parents (in some respects).
(, Tue 11 Mar 2008, 5:51, archived)
# i wish i did...they claim to be
but my dad is a gun-toting, george bush loving, super-conservative
religious racist republican...

and my mom is physically incapable of saying the word "gay."
she does this annoying wrist-flappy thing instead.

wheeeeeeeee.

# consider the possibility that you will do them a world of good when you do come out.
sometimes people just need to be exposed to that dreaded 'other' before they can accept it.
(, Tue 11 Mar 2008, 5:59, archived)
# yeah...unfortunately, my parents are the type
who rather than rethinking their views on "teh gays"
will rethink their views on me.

i've always known i'd have to cut myself off from them eventually...
that is why i am waiting to tell them though.

emotionally 100% ready to tell them right now...financially...
...not so much...

# well, do it when you're ready.
just don't delay forever - even people we have little in common with or dislike or care for despite some qualities deserve to appraise us as we are, not as we pretend to be.

my dad was cool with me being queer (he had no opinion on hetero couples, for that matter), my mother vacillates on it (as she does on everything). my ex's parents were terrific - i was their son's partner, no different than the hetero kids' partners.

# huh
and here I thought I was the only gay in the village, strange thing with my parents really, I've told them, they just don't seem to believe me, ah well I'll be living with my partner by this summer, so who needs em.

# commit mass murder
then when you're in prison you can say to your mum and dad through the glass window, "I'm gay," and it'll seem paltry by comparison. they might not even notice
(, Tue 11 Mar 2008, 6:01, archived)
# heh...
sad part is, you are the second person to suggest this to me! lol
(, Tue 11 Mar 2008, 6:06, archived)
# i think it's a natural conclusion to come to for budding alcoholics like myself
*beams*
(, Tue 11 Mar 2008, 6:08, archived)
# i tried that.
the mass murder part, anyway. the rest just seemed like overkill.

# fucking hell! how much is a Greyhound to San Fran?!

also I was remembering this while I was out having a smoke:
www.tv.com/the-sarah-silverman-program/muffin-man/episode/974396/recap.html

damn, that was a piss-funny show.
(, Tue 11 Mar 2008, 6:02, archived)
# i'm not sure which is more odd
watching the show, or reading a text recap of it.

have you been keeping up with her staged humiliation of Jimmy Kimmel?
(, Tue 11 Mar 2008, 6:05, archived)
# last I saw was "I'd Fuck Matt Damon".

which gave me a little more respect for MATT DAY-MON, to be honest.

# maaaat damon
actually, it took a turn for the worse:

# oh yeah, that graced our TV 'news' briefly.

WHAT SHITE, I SAID TO MYSELF
(, Tue 11 Mar 2008, 6:19, archived)
# yeah, i think sarah won that one.
i'm taking the whole thing for what it is, a silly joke between celebrity friends; i wince at the slightest hint of tabloid shite, but i can appreciate a good round of humiliation tennis.

that said, i have always, always thought jimmy kimmel was an unfunny mong who needed a talk show like a fish needs a bicycle
