if you mean the border, thats from the paper. They do look a bit better with a proper border. The greyish at the top is meant to be a horizon. I'll probably darken that up a bit.

It's a type of etching... Probably spent 10 hours on it so far. Here's a bit about aquatint

Heavily sprayed areas print light, lightly sprayed areas print dark.
