

CFB [1024x768]. A work in progress... my first good pull from the plate. Done with aquatint, which in this gase is basically spraying a zinc plate with black spraypaint, and etching it in acid. Plate gets loaded up with ink, then sent through a press. Approx 9'x6'. Hope I can lighten up the reflections a bit. May just be a matter of wiping the plate down more.

I tried to do this in high school but they wouldn't give me any acid :/

if you mean the border, thats from the paper. They do look a bit better with a proper border. The greyish at the top is meant to be a horizon. I'll probably darken that up a bit.

Heavily sprayed areas print light, lightly sprayed areas print dark.
