I was just being sarcastic.
In the recent past there was some bitching about how it isn't fair that Happy Toast gets a lot of FPs, because he has 'fancy 3d software'.
In fact I remember seeing one comment to the effect "how are we supposed to compete?" or something along those lines.

In fairness I think the person I'm (mis?)quoting here was actually complaining more about the nature of images on the FP, which I think they were basically saying had changed.

yes, i know i made that silly pic about fp-ing the nightshift folk, but that was tongue (or keyboard, if you prefer)-in-cheek.

and, saying "it isn't fair" because he uses zara implies that we need a handicapping system here:

+/- 0 for paint
- 1 for photoshop/imageready
- 2 for flash
- 5 for having a sense of humour.

i was rummaging around some old folders the other day and found pics from 2 years ago that are only partly done or are still just ideas.

but, i have seen a good number of pics on the front page that really are there more because the person posting them on board is consistently good. so, popularity does enter into it a tad - though that in no way diminishes the quality of the pics, in my opinion.

If Mr Toast has 'fancy 3d software', then anyone can go and download or buy said software. An image doesn't get on the front page if it doesn't get clicked. It doesn't get clicked if it isn't funny or good, 3d software or not. Just look at the first two images on the FP at the moment.
