Woo and yay
is all I'm gonna say (too).... cos I don't even have an idea who the guy is (apart from the name that Tyronne stated).
Jacking a thread; Gracielou - so sorry you're not having your trip to England as planned. I really feel for you, and I tend to agree with Spacefish' advice last night.

George Formby...
...is the best ukelele player in the world ever after me.
He was the star of many British black and white films, where he would sing many cheeky songs about leaning on lamp posts and being a window cleaner.
Oh, and nice Norwegian Wood on your profile.

I'm not much
into the ukulele thing - lol. Do you really play it yourself? And do you really speak Polish too? Anyway - I'm off to work now (and running a bit late too).

I've decided that no matter what, I'm not going to England untill May. If things truly are how he says they are, then that will give him enough time to deal with it. If they aren't I can stay with my friend Nat and the tickets won't go to waste. Either way I'm thinking about it as little as possible 'til I hear something clear from him.

I'm not going to look at that part anymore, so don't bother replying to that post.

I would,
but have to run now, so I'll do a search (much) later. Perhaps we'll meet up in May.... I really fancy taking a trip to London - been way too long since I've been there.

Does it explode?
Or involve dead animals?
(For my twopennethworth - it doesn't look like he's putting you off cos he doesn't want to see you - its just that he's building up a bunch of problems into one huge stress-inducing thing. Men do that kind of thing, remember most of us are still little boys at heart...)

it might explode, I can't be held responsible for anything it does, Harold made it.

I can see you trying that argument
when the ATF come to take you away...

haha
I changed that so that you sound like the one who is insane.
on a more pathetic note, does it sound to you like wants to be done with me? that's all I really want to know right now, nearly anything else (excepting wives and/or children closer to my age than he is) I'd be willing to temporarily overlook.

From the details I do know
he's probably just panicked about you comming over, cos that would involve commitment & then there's the whole "personal space" bit. When he sees you in the US, he knows he's always got the UK to retreat to, Once you are on his turf its a whole different matter...
Gina (a mate of mine) has a boyfriend who is happy for her to meet his friends, family etc but he will not take her to a football match, cos that's his private thing, he'll get over it. The best thing to do is to talk it over (but try not to sound accusative cos he'll get all defensive & sulky).

or
there is always stabbing.
yes, stabbing would be fun.
or there are lots of nice guns within reach if I could get him over here somehow...
you are probably right. I was very rational when I responded to his email. Now is when all the crazy comes out. As I said earlier, if something (even something minor) happened to his sis, he would not think twice about pushing me away if he thought giving her all his attention would help her. If he has been playing me this whole time, he has done a splendid job. I've just realised: I don't know the name of the place he works. AND I don't have a working telephone number for him. ARGH. Stabbing is definately the best idea.

There's having your own
private space, be it football or whatever, but then there's ruling out an entire country as your personal space.
Which is arse.
