Some credulous numpties, on the other hand, are believing that the "ancient wisdom" of the Mayans means that it is the end of the world, and a smaller, cannier bunch of cynical scaremongering numpties are taking advantage by selling the first set of credulous numpties a shedload of poorly-written, evidence-free nonsense about it in glossy paperback form.

You can find these so-called books in the "Mind, Body, Spirit and Other Credulous Bollocks" section of your local bookstore, taking up space rightfully meant for Richard Dawkins and Martin Gardner books. Grrr.
