# Try www.getpaint.net
free version of Photoshop without the ripping off of creative peoples hard work.

# I wouldn't call paint.NET a "free photoshop"
but it is damn awesome
(, Wed 23 Jul 2008, 19:34, archived)
# Photoshop 5 is still Photoshop ;)

# I offered up

# I reviewed Dogwaffle ages ago, interesting package but also very weird
(, Wed 23 Jul 2008, 19:50, archived)
# Yeah it's crazy
but I bought the pro version anyway. I'm still going through the tutorials but I think it will be worth it looking at some of the images I have seen.

# hohum
oh dear. an interesting response. i will have a look at FAQ later to see who/what i have violated. i seems to remember Hitler based pics so anyone whos no happy about the Genocidal manic point seems a bit void

# you ain't done nothing wrong here :)
/b3ta is just in a weird temperament of late here on /board. Pull up a chair, shop a kitten etc etc and welcome :)

# nothing has been violated.

but i secretly liked it

# Yet...

# I don't think you've violated anyone (although your personal life is your own call)
my comment about ripping off creative peoples hard work is in reference to those who pirate software.

# Jesus, it was just a couple of comics
that I f I were to buy would end up in the bin before I read them like my newspapers do. (ARE YOU READING, WIFE?) ;)
(, Wed 23 Jul 2008, 19:43, archived)
# ha, I wasn't talking to you
you have paid for your copies of Photoshop, MAX etc haven't you?
(, Wed 23 Jul 2008, 19:48, archived)
# Of course I have
it's why I get online support and tickets for seminars that I forget to go to. I'm not too happy about the FLEXnet licensing that I'm forced to run as a service by Autodesk but I don't have much choice.

I buy because I can, not an overly moral obligation to. That's my stance really. Pay for everything that you can and support developers. I can not get too upset though when there are talented people out there without a pot to piss in and they don't pay for their copy of photoshop. I'd like to think if they ever made any money in the future they would have the decency to buy a license.

# In fact the opposite.
You have doen nothing wrong whatsoever. However, it is always a good idea to read the FAQ just for some of the recommendations. And also, as always, just look at the board, you should get to know what goes down well and what doesnt pretty quickly. If you want to see what doesnt go down well, pop in on a Tuesday :)

# No no no, nothing's violated, I was asking if you'd read it (in surprise because most new people don't)
as a congratulation for having it withing the guidelines of the faq.
Sorry if that was misinterpreted, I was trying to be nice :[
