Obv I haven't seen it,
but I am guessing that it isn't meant to be a brilliant film in the usual sense. More just a bit of silliness for a couple of hours.

I concur.
remaking films is just the laziest thing ever. I can't think of one remake that has been anywhere near as good as the original, let alone better.

not that I advocate remakes, I usually hate them, but there have been a few excellent remakes.

p.s my uncle played the tranny (lead part, tho I have never actually seen it.) in the rocky horror show theatre production with russell crowe.
