what the hell IS an A* anyway
could they not have just hiked up the A grade pass rate to 90% or something?

A-levels are more 'corrupt' than GCSE's
A-Levels are just a passing ground to promote University, and nothing more. It's a centre to oil up the gears for future debt.
Kids of GCSE age are taught VERY little about options outside of A-Levels which can still give them qualifications which may help them better than A-Levels.
of course, next up are the TOTALLY pointless Diplomas that are coming up this september, which (having had to prepare documents, schemes of work and syllabuses for one) take about 50% of the usual course content away from the old traditional qualification, to give a more 'open' view to learning. Basically, it's cutting back 50% of 'relevant' info that these kids need to pursue a diploma in a given career path.

I'm glad that most art-based things involve a lot of personal teaching,
rather then relying on other people to teach you how to do it.

It's like an A for anyone who took an exam up to 1993
and then an A is a B and B is a C etc etc
Except they don't have ungraded anymore so I don't think they can possibly fail.
I'm glad I don't have to hire people based on qualifications, its all such bullshit now, people with glowing results from pre 93 now look like fucking cretins on paper.

keep it simple, it'll be better for the dreaded 'league tables'
and will help employers know who the fuck they are employing

Jesus, you did Jesus stuff
did it teach you anything useful like how to diffuse a religious argument?
