I sent him a message a while back and he hasn't replied, but he may just be fed up with me.

Hello bird...
I haven't, actually. He's a big strong boy though, I'm sure he's physically ok.
Hmm. *worries*

what if he's fallen under an elephant?
or fell in love with the wrong woman... or accidentally been sent into space in a mix up worthy of a Chevy Chase movie... HE HAS VERY LITTLE ZERO G TRAINING!!

No, Chevy character...

No Chevy
despite your confidence, you don't know what you're doing and you're chronically inept!
In complete contradiction to the humorous title of the film, this IS rocket science!

hmm, he seems not to have posted,
so I reckon he's most likely busy.

I went to a wedding at the weekend with a super mario bros theme.
exqueeze me?
was that actually (intentionally) the theme or did it just put you in mind of super mario?

not the FULL theme, I mean, bride and groom not in costume.
but the place settings were little folded cubes printed like [?] blocks with gold (chocolate) coins inside, and the flower arrangements had fimo pirhana flowers worked into them, and the cake was super marioish.

I has a picture of the cake.
Is it rude to post a picture of someone else's wedding cake on the internet? I mean, I haven't their express permission.
What an unlikely ethical conundrum.

What an unlikely ethical conundrum.
ha ha
I'm not sure... you could post it, let people see it and then edit it away so that there is no lasting record - I think that would get the approval of the ethics committee (committee is a word made by committee - 'well I think we should double ALL the letters," "I disagree," "let's water down our ideas by combining them!")

Will you be cat girl (better costume, less in keeping with the established canon)
or Robin (a teeny bit worrisome)?

and will you turn away people who turn up from the wrong comic universe?
Batman never met HELLBOY - get out Brian, you're no longer invited to my wedding you FOOL!

No, the theme for the general populous
will be comic and cartoon characters. Of which HB is both.

:D
as an alternative, might I suggest that you don't tell anyone the batman theme idea and instead say the theme for the guests is strict formal attire so that you and the man wife can bounce about in costume going 'POW' and 'SOCK' while everyone else has to look on confused.

I will be Robin.
If you've seen the first series of Boston Legal, it'll be similar to what Rhona Mitra wears when she dresses up as Robin.
Could be the Joker and Harley Quinn, I suppose, but no. Int no way I'm wearing that.

wow, so you must have had at LEAST eight minutes of actual character control between the interminable scripted sequences.

I don't understand what people's problem is with it
yes, the cut scenes are long, but so are the gameplay sequences.

It's not that they're long,
it's that they're so frequent, especially early in the game.
I got fed up watching my flatmate play it, and it takes a LOT for me to get fed up enough to go and do something else.
It may improve later on I guess, but it lost me.

I've just treated those bits as a film
but I always give the control pad to the wife so he can button mash for the flashbacks while I skin up.
