# I agree
the start was good but the rest was bollocks
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:32, archived)
# I was surprised at how good it was actually.
Not as good as the first but still good. The aerial shots of the chase near the beginning are amazing.
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:33, archived)
# True.
How many other sequels are up there with their first?
It's quite an achievement just for that.

(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:38, archived)
# Evil Dead 2, Terminator 2, Rambo 2,
...Day of the Dead, Toxic Avenger 4.

They're the only ones I can think of.
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:43, archived)
# Day of the Dead is the best in the series, true.
Toxie 4 is also pretty badass.

Actually, your list is pretty accurate. Well done.
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:44, archived)
# Judging from your blog we have similar tastes.
Oh... I just thought of another one - Aliens? Maybe not better but just as good.
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:47, archived)
# Day of the Dead review coming soon. Been itching to watch again it for a while now.
Aliens and Alien are both equal I think. Heck, even the Directors Cut of Alien 3 is pretty awesome.

Also I'd change Rambo 2 to be Rambo 4. That new one was amazing.

# I actually really liked 28-W-L....
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:33, archived)
# They put two fucking kids in it!
That always ruins sequels for me.
Think Phantom Menace, T2.
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:37, archived)
# T2 > Terminator
Fact.
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:39, archived)
# You should be finished off with Miles Dyson and the like.
T2 was trivial, T3 was ouchy!
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:41, archived)
# T3 wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting.
Obviously not a patch on the others though.

But I still stand by my first statement - T2 is easily the best film. It's got all the good bits of the first, but with some extra explosion and stuff.
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:43, archived)
# I agree with this.
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:44, archived)
# no
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:52, archived)
# Its good, but T1 felt more 'gritty horror' as with most
films of that period. Personal preference I guess.
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:45, archived)
# ^this
although I still love T2

It's all a simliar situation ti the Alien movies for me, I prefer Alien to Aliens, purely because I love teh gritter horror (again, not to say I dislike Aliens -I love that film too)
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:53, archived)
# yeah.... but..... I kinda prefered teh more apocalyptic ending though.....
I'm looking forward to 28 Months Later though...
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:40, archived)
# The USA cut of 28 Days Later has a better ending than ours.
We got the shitty tacked on coda ending with the dumb farmhouse scene.
I hate codas.
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:41, archived)
# yup... I've seen the alternate, and it was better....
(, Thu 4 Sep 2008, 15:45, archived)
# omg they didn't
