okay - God invented keyboard in 1982 or somethingand they were good (aside from the colour) and they had the function (F) keys.
In 2003 Microsoft decided that the F Keys were not good (which is a wrong lie) and that they should be replaced with something which does something else.
However, because they're a bunch of gutless fucks they didn't want to do away with the F Keys so they invented F Lock which is like caps lock but for the Function Keys. If F Lock is off you get the shitty MS F Keys, if it's on you get God's F Keys... the default is off.
