in some cases, they weren't. - They were 100% owned by the creator
and besides, we use them for non-profit making means - b3ta, and it isn't sold via b3ta for use. They use it - knowingly - to fill a profit making publication and don't bother to check copyright, which they should before making profit on it. It's not about £, its about explanation, and thats what I've asked for. Rob even mentioned that they even tagged some of the images 'copyright b3ta' which also implies that b3ta has been buying these pics, or selling them on, which it hasn't, and puts rob et al in a tricky situation if called up on it.
