# Haha
Excellent.
I have a picture somewhere I was going to post in response to this but I can't find it.
I'm losing more and more pics recently. I have too many and no way of keeping track of all of them. I really need to fix up my site.

# I upload mine as and when needed.
Pie, easy as.

# Haha you make it sound so easy.
I have 3,852 images online spread over 5 servers, and over 20,000 images locally. If something is not descriptively named I'm screwed.

# Oh my.
That's quite a few.

I went through some weird filename phases, it's nice to know I have things like "poshsteampoweredfrogsliketoeatflyingboats.png" and "borishassomebadassmandibles.jpg" lying about my server.

# Heh
I've tried to stick to descriptive titles but it's not really too helpful with the vector portraits I do. I just gave up on those and started numbering them. Not actually very useful but it seems organized.

# Christing cuntpump,
that's a bitch.
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 1:45, archived)
# Yeah it's out of hand.
About half the images are photos. I take them and never do anything with them. I can't even be bothered to put them on flickr, there are just too many to look through.

# True dat,
I've got a hoarde of photos too, there's not much you can do with them except open them up and look at them every 5 months and say 'awww' and 'haha' also 'urgh'

# sounds like a way to spend a rainy sunday
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 1:59, archived)
# Well yeah,
my problem, and I'm sure I'm not alone in this, is that I have 1000 ways to spend a rainy sunday and I'm probably not going to choose one that seems like a chore. I want to have fun all the time. It's made me a bit lazy and stupid.

# I hear you.
Though I've wasted hours upon hours doing things like organizing my iTunes collection (getting those ID3 tags just right) or, indeed, organizing my pictures folder.

# I need to do the same.
I just try and remember the filename, or at least as close as I can get.

If I need to hunt for something, I just hook up to the ftp thing and search through the folder. I need a simpler way, though :(

I've got pushing 800 files in the "files" folder, it's a lot to try and remember.

# Just keep an identical folder on your harddrive with all the same filenames.
You nonce.

# I use several machines, and my hard drives keep failing.
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 1:47, archived)
# And that is why you flail.
Or alternatively, just have one massive jpeg with thumbnails of all the images with filenames all in alphabetical order. Then just keep that image bookmarked.
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 1:48, archived)
# I read that as 'flailing'
I had an image of unwieldy harddrives flailing around the room like Alien™ tentacles.
