When I use photoshop/imageready its much faster in its original state before its optimised to a gif.
How can I convert to gif, maintaining its original speed?

Different browsers are capable of different framerates
and that affects playback speed. As far as I know the fastest framerate displayed accurately by a browser is 0.03 seconds in Firefox. The fastest framerate you can get in IE6 is 0.07 seconds, which doesn't sound like much of a difference but it's very noticable. I don't know about IE7, I haven't tested it.

Oh and I just remembered
if you set a framerate of 0.00 in photoshop/imageready the results in a browser can be unpredictable. If you want it to play as fast as possible in all browsers, set the framerate of each frame to 0.03 seconds.
