
as I understand it's very difficult to transfer something like that to the big screen without 'amending' it. Sadly, I've heard about to many unnecessary changes, that by their very nature alters the whole point of the plot.

movie fan boys is quite good, if you can get over yourself and accept that there will be changes.
i for one am looking forward to it as it's been in development hell for so long, also it had dave gibbons on board advising, so i have a good feeling about it.

you can't please everyone.
If they made an adaptation that kept the fanboys quiet it would make about $5million openign weekend and then no one else would go and see it.
And fanboys will moan if their favourtie frame from the book isn't included...

also, it's far to big to fit into one film, much like LotR was, to I expect bits to be chopped.
