I used to think the same
I must be getting old cos I've started to really like Corbett now.
I think he's very underated just because Barker was such a god

I loved both the Ronnies...
...Corbett was great on his own. The big letdown was Ernie Wise to the fabulous Eric Morecombe! :)

To be fair, although Barker is my comedy hero, Corbett proved very effective in many 2R sketches
a perfect foil at times for Barker's wordplay, and he is a charming person (have met him at Cromer) with a wicked wit.
Still, I know what you mean, tis a sad loss.
