Wouldn't the board be pushed down by the same amount in image length whether it is a new thread or a reply? Or is the board a XX number of threads rather than actual length of the page?

So it's other people replying rather than the actual original poster that causes work to be pushed down? Surely the answer is to not reply with the 'hilarious' you fail comments?

But as you can see many people enjoy posting fail comments. However, the idea is that the offender (whether it be unintentionally or intentionally) won't do it again.

The main page holds 15 threads regardless of the amount of replies.
New threads push someone else's work off into the archive and if it's a repost that we have seen before then it is selfish to do and says not to in the faq.
