# That's exactly what my cat looked like this morning
as I was trying to give him his tablets.

Fine... stay snotty then

# There is an easy way to give them pills
and the method becomes quite obvious when you consided how much time they spend showing you their arsehole.

# Easy way is to hold them with 4 strong men,
use a stick to pry the mouth open and a bucket of water to swallow it down.

# Hahaha. It's a hell of a lot easier to hold them by the scruff of the neck to imobilise them
then squeeze the corners of their mouth so their jaw opens. Then watch them run off to crap in your shoes.

# Thats what we spent 20 minutes trying to do this morning
He's pretty good, in that he won't scratch or bite, he just manges to twist his body in 15 different directions at once

# You need you get a good grip of the flesh over the front shoulders and neck and pull up.
If you do it right it's reflex for them to hand there and not move a muscle.

# ^this
let them know who's boss

# You have to with any pet.
It really pisses me off when you see pet owners in public let their pets dominate them. No matter how unwittingly the do it.
(, Thu 16 Apr 2009, 8:59, archived)
# It's quite easy, just use the right tone of voice and sometimes slap them a bit
Never leave your kids alone with a dog and always know that cats think they own you :).

# My folks left me along with the dog. I think it depends on the dog.
I find if cats know you're the boss they're a lot more effectonate (although they still will try and wrap you round their little fingers).

# Well if you smaller or the same height of dogs they might see you as prey
or competition...kids usually touch them and of course it depends of the character of the dog, but even the luvely dogs can give a warning snap.

# aw
are they poorly?

give them some grass (non-allucinogenic sort)

ning Sir!

# nings nibs
Yeah, got two from a shelter on the weekend. The tabby's got a cold and the b&w one won't go near us. But at least he's eating and he's not sitting on the powderkeg that is the back of my telly anymore

# aww, give em a week or two
one they sniff everything out they'll be fine

if they start washing each other's arses you know they're happy
(, Thu 16 Apr 2009, 8:33, archived)
# There is always bribery
I find that if you go to the fishmonger and get some offcuts and steam them they'll quite happily come up to you:P

# No photo not real!
The two I had came from a shelter too. THey were kittens but their mother was feral. Too two weeks for the second one to come up to me.
At least it's only a cold though. My two had ear mites and an amaebiod infection that meant they whee shitting soup round the flat for about a month.

# Photos forthcoming...
I have a couple of crap-o-vision ones on my phone, but I can't find the data cable to get em onto 'puter

# I'm very lucky with that sort of stuff.
GOt a tiny lil techie sotore down the road which appears to have a tardis interior and as they import everything sell stuff under half the price of the bigger store.

# What's wrong with the kittens?
When I give my little guy his flea pill, I hide it in some meat. He can't tell the difference
(, Thu 16 Apr 2009, 8:40, archived)
# Tryed that, he ate around it
We've resorted to hiding it in cheese.

Which I'm a little concerne3d about since if milks bad for them how can they eat cheese
