I just don't get this 'waaaaah, I hate the police'
why? Because a bunch of petulant black boys who like shooting the shit out of each other told you to?

I want to like the police...
but they just keep proving that their ranks are mainly made up of power hungry fucktards. I met a good policeman once and he was of the same opinion.

many years ago whilst
she and I were waiting to move into our new house, We lodged with a copper and his mrs. He was in the Tactical Aid Group (TAG but I think they have a different name now ) but in the time when policemen did not have guns or an armed response team TAG were the guys that ran around airports with sub-machine guns and went to all the dangerous stuff. He was also one of the guys digging up the moors looking for Hindley and Brady's victims.
The sad part about it was that in order for him to do that job he and his wife had to live under assumed names 200 miles away from where they grew up.

the police are as human and as fallible as the rest of us
also, being the awkward cunt that I am, I believe that you should be openly critical of any one in a position of power and authority. Supposedly, being as we are a democracy, this is what we should be allowed to do.
but then I am a filthy deviant liberal.

How can you be sad?
You are Captain Wow! CAPTAIN WOW! And you've got a great hat - the world's your oyster :D (I'd give you a hug but I fear you might push me violently into the road).

It still outweighs the list of violent crimes.
I'm not saying there aren't bad appled, but I'm also not saying that they're all bad apples. That's my point. I hate this whole 'calling someone a name just because of the job they do without even knowing them' thing. It's just a bit pathetic.

Sure. Although I'm not paying violent criminals to attack me
I don't have a problem with a few bad apples either. I have a problem with a framework that doesn't automatically and immediately remove the bad apples from within, and seems overall incredibly resistant to idea.
As for name calling, I also have no sympathy. But equally I cannot stand the aggrandizement.

so what we need are thousands of people who never make mistakes and want to be police officers.
They shouldn't be too hard to find. I just recriut now.

nope... my dislike stems from having friends who were badly beaten up at stonehenge a few years back and my own handcuff scar*
in all honesty, I don't dislike the police for the fact that they're the police. but I dislike the lack of accountability when any of their number are genuine cunts.
*i deserved getting pinched but the bastard cuffs were on a bit too tight

i totally agree with you
but my problem isn't with the policemen and women, they're very brave, its with the organisation of "the police force".

Over the years
I've been mugged, the police turned up after 14 days. Had my car broken into, someone was sent to dust for prints, never heard anything back. House vandalised, didn't even turn up.
When I was working at a local supermarket whilst at college there were two armed robberies, on one occasion the police turned up after 45 minutes, the second they turned up after 2 days. One of the girls on the checkout was stabbed, they failed to arrest anyone. One of the girls on the shopfloor was gang raped in view of the CCTV cameras behind the store on her way home from work, noone was arrested.
Am I allowed to not like the local police force?
Edit: not meant as a dig at you captain.

i've been burgled, called the police and a week later someone turned up. and i've witnessed a serious assault and the police never called me back.

My brother has had the same thing, phoned the police when he saw someone breaking into a car just down his road
and the police didn't care to the extent they didn't even ask for the numberplate.

Damn straight!
That's democracy and anyone that disagrees should go and live somewhere America hasn't invaded yet ;)
In all honesty I don't hate the police but I do dislike the way they carry on most of the time. For example a few weeks ago I get stopped and given the 3rd degree by a plastic because I looked a little flustered when I was walking home from the gym...
