# haha
they are small aren't they.

Probably why they still have fun but don't get fat - the fools!
(, Mon 4 May 2009, 10:21, archived)
# I always assumed it was because
bigger tins would get warm before you could finish drinking them... although the challenge of that appeals to me.

# I'm still to see that
I was saying that very thing to Mrs S last night whil watching THX.
(, Mon 4 May 2009, 10:20, archived)
# well - you should
it's worth seeing (did they remake it with Nick Cage..? One sec... OH MY FUCKING GOD THEY DID)

there's a great deal of nakedness in it though

was THX any good?
(, Mon 4 May 2009, 10:22, archived)
# THX
will need a second viewing I think

certainly excellent and ground breaking for 1970 odd when it was made, but a little difficult to follow and besides I fell asleep before the end.

Busy day plus beer, vodka and wine didn't help.

I got it cheap from Amazon marketplace along with other scifi I haven't yet seen (Soylent Green, Andromeda strain etc)

# i don't want to spoil it for you but.... soylent green is people
i heartily recommend Cypher
(, Mon 4 May 2009, 10:27, archived)
# haha

as for Cypher - it is on the list, but I am still working my way through the 70s!
(, Mon 4 May 2009, 10:28, archived)
# Cypher is an exceedingly good film
you will enjoy it I can almost guarantee it... which isn' something I would normally do.

# its a shame the final scene sort of lets it down a bit
(, Mon 4 May 2009, 10:34, archived)
# yeah
but I'm a very forgiving person
(, Mon 4 May 2009, 10:38, archived)
# ahh - good call
I also haven't not seen them before... I'm currently considering my film library -- my brother has siphoned off most of my best ones over the years into his flat and I've just found out his sold all the DVDs he had ... including mine - so I'm back near square one again.

Hmmmmm
