Just watched 4 hours of Battlestar Galactica preamble, and have been lent the first three series on DVD.
Is it as desperately doomed as it appears? Or are there any rays of sunshine?

TJ: Which image types support transparency? As a .jpeg, my transparent background becomes white on a website. As a .png, the background is transparent but the file size is huge!

depending on the number of colours required you could probably get away with a nice gif palette.

Hard to say which. Or which way is up. GYLI

.png has the drawback of not being properly displayed in some IE browsers. You're probably better sticking with .gif right now if you're using transparency.

It's for a banner that I made with a ripped paper look. .gif brought the file size right down.
