
He does have a point. The fact is that they didn't break the rules, yes they drew them up, and it is undoubtedly amoral, however, there are worse things going on in the world and the papers have most definitely drawn this out for a horrendously inordinate amount of time.

I'm sick of hearing about it. The MPs have done nothing illegal. Morally wrong, yes, but since when did MPs have morals?
The rules are being changed, it'll be harder to claim things like this in the future.
The thing is, the Telegraph (was it? Can't remember which newspaper "broke" the story) spent hundreds of thousands of pounds purchasing this "exclusive" information when it was due to be released in a month's time anyway. Where's the uproar about that?

allegedly the Guardian were offered them for £300,000 and refused. The Telegraph will probably get done for buying them I think.
