# Something that's been bothering me
(, Thu 21 May 2009, 18:18, archived)
# pfft
someone near me has been angle grinding or disc cutting up until 9pm for weeks. I have no idea where it's coming from though

I'm expecting the A-Team to burst out of a shed on a pimped cement mixer any day

# I had that last year but with a planer or belt sander
Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeoooooooow hour after hour all weekend.

After 6 months I came to the conclusion that the perpetrator was sanding entire doors down to sawdust to keep the worlds' biggest hamster in bedding or due to some mental tick relating to an incident in his past where a door didn't shut properly.............possibly causing escape of giant hamster.

# Personally I'm thinking of setting up little masts that can pull along a heated razor wire rather than having to go to the bother of actually cutting the thing myself.
It would also double up as excellent burgular protection too.

# looks self inflicted to me
My dad had a bench stolen from his garden. He went to the police and they gave him a list of some addresses near by where it was likely to be. They said if he spotted it to just go in and get it back and if he happened to spot the guy there, to just punch him in the face.

My dad was happy enough with this, but asked the policeman if he wouldn't end up in trouble himself for assault.

The policeman replied "Oh I don't think we'd investigate it very hard sir".

He went to one of the houses and indeed found his bench. Nobody was there though so he just took it home
