I didn't go to uni, but have managed plenty of people who did. Degrees don't seem to be as important as everyone makes out.

it's really not a good career move, and it's a travesty that so many folk slog* their guts out there because they think it is. but if you want to spend some time learning stuff you're interested in then it's great

I think the main thing I'd be sad about is that I won't be going to my anime club any more, best part that.
On the bonus side, the people I met at the last convention want me to do a Monkey Island group cosplay with them. I think we should make a Murray.

I used to go to a university club at a university I never went to.
You'll find most clubs don't have rules about people bringing guests.
Some clubs do limit how many time one person can bring a guest along but I just went again as the guest of a different person.
