You gotta be fucking kidding!
That reminds me it's been two weeks since I watched it... I'm slipping

I'll probably be shot but someone should make a modern-day sequel to it
You just know that alien survived

Haha
It would be worse than that doom movie they brought out a couple of years ago

You nearly redressed the balance with that remark, but your crimes will be severely dealt with, sir.
I'm only doing this for you.

Carpenter actually want/wanted to do one...
with Russell and David - using frostbite as teh excuse for why they look so old now....

And I tried to jump through my screen to get to you

Hahahahahha! "Youy know, John, we really need to gay this up - a bunch of guys all alone? Maybe they could all huddle up and stuff, yeah!"

That just sent a shiver down my spine.
the Doctor taking on The Thing, I can just about imagine (if Moffat wrote it) but RTD would be more likely to have Captain Jack snog/bore it to death.

Y'see, that I could almost live with.
But Mr Carpenter is well off his game - and he must be nearly 100 by now.

Maybe if they can get John Carpenter to do it. Or James Cameron at a push.
But most likely you should just be shot.

But then Carpenter has only made one good film in 20 years.
I'd shoot HIM too

The Thing was either the first or second horror film I ever saw
I can't remember if I saw it before An American Werewolf In London or after but they were both about the same time.

Although i said I wouldn;t be buying BluRays, I did pick up the thing in BR at the start of the week... Damn it looks good in HD....

The Thing
is pretty much the one film I have been considering getting on Blueray.
Now I know it looks good in HD, I doubt I'll resist any longer.

I bought the HD player for my Xbox
just to have it on HD-DVD.
But then I sold the player because I realised things were getting a bit silly

if you've still got the HDdiscs, you can apparently send them in with a small cover fee (3quid or something), and get bluray replacements

No, I didn't even get as far as that.
Annoying though as you can get the discs for £2 now

All I want now are Alien, Aliens, maybe the original Star Wars Trilogy, and if it's ever released - it s a mad mad mad world.
No way i'm replacing my DVD collection though...
