# He also does after dinner speeches
I read somewhere that earns him around a million a year. Don't forget that full time is around 40 hours a week. What he does outside the work hours that people pay him for is up to him, surely?

With that being said, he could have been a bit more tactful in describing his £240k a year for the column.

# It's about what he said, not what he does

the cunt

# But he always says stupid stuff
He's like the Homer Simpson of the political world. I suppose not living in London I can just laugh it off, what were you lovable Londoners thinking of when you voted him in :P

# Few people admit to that
I stomped around the city when the result came in shouting at London for being so stupid.

Anyway, he is always greetin' about something, the silly cunt.

# it was the rich twats in the outer suburbs that voted him in
people in london proper don't vote cos we're too fucking cool for democracy

# Ha ha ha.
I probably would have voted for him if I wasn't out of the country. Mainly due to my utter hatred of Ken Livingstone.

# i'd rather ken barlow was mayor
than the shambling borderline special needs tory fuckwit we have now

# Fuck knows!
It was a classic case of people being bored by someone (Red Ken) and voting in the next most famous one, despite the fact there was a perfectly good candidate (Brain paddick), but because wasn't on telly every week making a tit of himself he was ignored

# Being bored by a politician
is not a good reason to vote against them.

I thought Ken and voted for him again.

# An old mate's dad used to have an agency that recruited after dinner speaker.
A hell of a lot of money changed hands for a half hour talk.

# I went to a junket last October that had a great after dinner speaker
He spent the whole time talking about IT managers and end users, which the room full of geeky software engineers loved.
