The dragon bit wasn't side-scrolling. I guess I should just remain happy I found Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge.

Fucking loved Turbo esprit
someone told me though, that you couldn't crash or damage the cars because Lotus didn't want the cars portrayed as being destructible.
Hence, if you got bumped you just stopped.

outrun is great.
the crashes are superfun times. especially since they're in a convertible and often land upside down. people were made of tougher stuff in those days.

Used to play Turbo Esprit on the Amiga.
Lotus did indeed put a clause in the paperwork saying the cars couldn't show damage... nice enough looking racer, but boring as all hell.
