I have to say, I didn't thuink I'd notice a difference with an upscaling DVD but I did.
SO Blu-Ray will probably make my head explode.
And I'll have to buy all the Bond movies again, which will please Lady S no end

Not all of us can form an opinion based on on knowledge and an openness to expanding my knowledge. Some of us need to experience things to understand them.

The restoration job they did on the SE DVDs was superb, particularly on the early ones.
But I doubt if the Blu-Ray versions will be any better.
You only polish something so many times before you start to dull it.

that the chap who would later invent the McDonald's supersize used to work for a cinema chain. This cinema chain were struggling to convince people to buy enough popcorn - they tried buy-one-get-one-free, but no one wanted to be seen eating two tubs of popcorn. So what he suggested was that they increase the size of a portion by 100%, but only put up the price by about 10%. Suddenly people thought they were getting a great deal and people who used to not buy it started buying it.
Spurlock does not, however, name the people involved or the cinema chain in question.

A bit like waiting half an hour for a C64 game to load
