# easy and real transport fast-ener! (not fastener, fast-ener)

if i get on a subway train at the very back, then wait for it to start moving, then run up the middle to the front, i'm passing the people who are sitting. the trip average seated speed is the same as the trip average train speed, but if i'm going a little faster than them for a little bit, my overall average speed is a little faster.

so didn't i get there before they did?

OF COURSE I DID!

# As long as the combined speed of you and the train is less than the speed of light.
Actually, you'd also have to account for the motion of both on the planet, and the planet, relative to the local frame as well.

# If you were running down one train travelling north
and someone else was running down a train travelling south at an equal speed,

I forgot where I was going with this.
