My opinion is that it's infuriatingly shit.

Johnny Depp recycles his Willy Wonka persona and the whole thing ends on a massive Deus Ex Machina.

I have a headache from hating it so much.

Y'know, a fantasy film with characters who have depth, things which happen to them that are UNEXPECTED, not just plodding along some predestined plotline that's been stated repeatedly since the beginning.

erred on the side of infuriatingly shit. And he should never use CGI when he can do stopmotion so well.

(Though to be fair, most directors go shit when they have such a big budget that money men are looking over their shoulder all the time)
