# I was very tempted to buy a dragon fruit at the Asian supermarket in Glasgow.
But realised I had no understanding of what the hell to do with one. I'd probably end up just nudging it with my finger for 2 weeks until it went off.

# he could just lick it?
i mean, that's not eating it, is it? to eat your skin, he'd have to flay you, masticate and digest it.

# Is this a don't eat the skin
in the same way that most people don't seem to eat the skin of Kiwi fruit?

# What? You can eat the kiwi skin?
That's sick!
(, Tue 6 Apr 2010, 23:39, archived)
# No!
It's lush! Give it a rub on your jeans first to get the fluff off, but then munch away. Adds a nice acidity/tartness to it. I have converted many, try it!

# Later, in homes throughout the world:
"Why are you rubbing that kiwi on your jeans, dear?"
"Because some bloke on the internet says you can eat the skin!"

The people in Chinatown are very nice and would have told you what to do with a dragonfruit if you'd asked.
