Yes, voluntary organisations should be unaccountable for their actions.

Not saying that
£42k for not being able to cope with an child with special needs? Parents treat these organisations like private child care.

In the court's judgment they were able to cope, or perhaps you're privy to some inside information about the case that the court wasn't?
And again, if some of the parents send their children to scouts not for their child's betterment but for temporary relief from parental supervision as you claim, does this mean the organisation is then unaccountable for their actions? Is this the point you're trying to make?

having said that, 42K would substantial impact the scouts' paedophilia legal defence fund they have set aside for the inevitable allegations

So Sweet
I think it's lovely how you have such great faith in our very broken court system. In my own experience being right by law is no match for an expensive barrister, and frankly there are very few lawyers who I wouldn't want to gratuitously go fuck themselves. But that's just my opinion and you are welcome to your's, however wrong it might be.

The story says they donated some to a local autism charity
...which seems to mitigate the idea that they’re cunts; it’s fair to give cash to a charity that wont discriminate.
I’ve worked with autistic kids and adults for 18 years in schools, playschemes, care homes, day centres, all sorts of places. And honestly, the biggest red flag that any organisation is going to be a backwards thinking shit hole with no business working with disabled people (whether a big charity or a small department in a school) is when the instinct is to exclude disabled kids who can be difficult at times.
