I take my hat off to him for keeping his cool when faced with that level of arrogance. I often wonder if what appears to be a common perception about South African accents (myself included) comes from watching documentaries about Eugene Terre-Blanche. That and Lethal Weapon.

That's a bit silly.
I mean, to categorise all people of a nation because of its policy which ended back in the early 90s. Being that narrow minded isn't very cool.

That's kind of the point I was making
While knowing South Africans who are in no way racist or pro-apartheid, I certainly used to struggle to get past the accent, probably due to associating the accent with apartheid when I was younger. That and Lethal Weapon.
