see your point, but

I would say a vicious dog would possibly be more dangerous - who don't give you 5mins to think

This is a normal post Pumas can be very stealthy and this is not the case in the video
The animal was just trying to scare him off.

Dogs are more familiar and predictable and without slashy claws

This is a normal post One situation where I'd want a gun.
Even a starting pistol or whistle might keep it at a distance. He carried on filming, in portrait.
Probably just running him off her territory.

This is a normal post Which one of you..
There may be some monster male humans that have the ability to defend themselves, barehanded, against such a beast. However, this situation would be statistically insignificant, in my opinion.

This is a normal post First thing I thought of while watching the video
was 'what a lot of handy sticks and stones lying around.' I think I'd have probably kicked some stones at it, then found a hefty rock or branch after PUTTING MY FUCKING PHONE AWAY.

But I guess it's probably different when you're in the moment with the adrenaline and tunnel vision and the FUCKING NARCISSISM.

This is a normal post You would have thought what with all those rocks lying around
and the whole opposable thumb thing, he would have caved the fucker's head in at 0:48

(, Wed 14 Oct 2020, 16:55, Reply)
This is a normal post I was thinking about that.
I think, not unreasonably, our narrator was too scared to bend down to grab a rock, lest the cat pounced. I'm sure he rued not acting decisively when he had the brief opportunity to do so at 0:48 for four very long minutes.

This is a normal post He'd have to be lightning quick and accurate.
He will be too big to be prey, so maintaining eye contact and backing off seems like the best option.
