the way that the message being sent out these days to bolster morale and British national identity is almost exactly the same message that you would want to send if you were campaigning to rejoin the EU. Unity with the world, we are all one team, stronger together etc.
Rejoining is inevitable, the only thing in doubt is how long it will take and how much damage will be done to our economy on the way.
Part of me hopes not much damage, because obviously that would be good. Another part of me realizes that each extra bit of damage weakens any argument that anti-Europeans would use to wreck the process.

But we are not anymore.
Most of your manufacturing hasn't been relocated to the Loire Valley - but to Guangdong (hint, that's not in Europe).
Would photoshoped berets on chinamen help?

With Femi and Lord Adonis? Oh Christ, I hope it's with Femi and Lord Adonis. Get Stephen Fry to do another patronising cartoon for the proles to understand. And get that annoying drunk guy in Parliament Square back, the one who shouted through a megaphone all the time. And calling people thick and racist - can you honestly, hand on heart, say you did that enough? You're a bunch of old loonies but it's very sweet.

The victory could not have been more complete. It was embarrassing. Then Covid wiped 15 months of negative press. No-one would go near the EU now. Everyone's talking about stricter borders. But you're still cutting about like bewildered Japanese soldiers stranded in the Malay archipelago.

Rolf Harris, Jimmy Saville, Dave Lee Travis, Bill Cosby, Gary Glitter, all the stars from the 70s
Could have them in a big spectacular directed by Roman Polanski

Better yet, get them to front your brilliant new second referendum campaign. Might as well for all the fucking difference it would make.

we did win. In 2016 and, after some pitiful nonsense, by thumping majority in 2019. That, I'm afraid, brb san - honourable servant to the Nippon cause though you may have been - is the reality of the thing. I mean one does have to work rather hard in the field of mental gymnastics to find a victory for remain.
