I find hard to believe that they would allow themselves to be chased for two hours…
…instead of just stopping and flagging down a copper.

I find it even harder to believe that the police themselves would let it go on that long.
Not necessarily saying that it’s entirely fabricated, but would be very surprised if it was even a tenth as bad as is claimed.

At one point they got in a taxi
and the taxi driver said they wouldn't call it a pursuit or even dodgy, the paparazzi were just following them.
So they got him to drive back to the police station and got in their own vehicle, so they could get a story out of driving like wankers.
