This is a normal post Ah, this brings back happy memories. I was a cadet at my local gliding club, we mainly flew k13s.
Never managed to go solo, mainly because I kept puncturing my lung (and not, as my instructor would have you believe, because I was shit and kept trying to kill us both)

This is a normal post OK commented before watching more than halfway through the video.
Jesus fucking Christ, impressive stuff but pretty sure those guys are going to end up as someone's anecdote about that time that Psycho X killed himself spectacularly in a glider

This is a normal post There’s a small airfield near me.
Every few years we get a case of a malfunctioning parachute. I think the last unfortunate ended up on the roof of a bed showroom.

The boldest pilots I think I've ever seen.

You fly like that in a sim, not in the real thing. Sure looks like fun though.

This is a normal post Actually
the most "dangerous" part of that flight was landing (almost) directly towards the hangar. Accepted practice is to not have obstructions directly in front because a 17m wingspan does not have the smallest turning circle on the ground.
Otherwise, it was well flown with plenty of margins e.g. speed, height and alternate landing fields.

This is a normal post Reminds me a bit of the stabilized wingsuit videos where you google them and they died a year or two after making the vid
