After my comment I saw that there were hundreds of hours of video
and began to think it must be an quirk of high resolution digital video.
Obviously, I’m going to struggle to identify what’s AI produced and what is real.

They are already adding AI 'upscaling' without letting uploaders opt out.
The upscaling turns hair to plastic and makes everything look CG.

That's already a thing - has been for a few years.
1080p videos have a Premium option if you check the video settings - the "free with ads" videos are all lower bitrate.
Then they added the "default on" AI upscaling, and they are just rolling out the "text prompt content creation" feature, to flood the platform with even more slop for even less effort.
